Yoga For Strengthening Core | Yoga For Beginners | Young Yoga with Sylvia

Today’s video is for strengthening the core. In yoga when we talk about “core”, we are often referencing the bandhas, or locks, as well. In yoga asana practice, almost every pose requires the activation of your core, unless you are practicing Restorative or Yin yoga, however, there are a few postures that target it more directly and as a result strengthen your core, which we will be practicing in this video. You may ask what’s the difference between yoga and exercise. Yoga has been defined as a systematic technology that allows you to free your mind, to connect with your body and to help find peace and variety of different ways, whether it’s a physical practice or a mental practice in terms of the way you think about your circumstances and world at large. As far as physical benefits, yoga also provides strength, toning and weight loss which is similar to exercise, but the major difference between yoga and exercise is that yoga takes it to the next step and requires you to focus on the present moment at hand, to focus on what your body is doing right now and that translates into what you do off the mat and your ability to find peace even when during times when you are really stressed out, you are able to just focus on what’s going on right now and appreciate what you can control and that is how yoga is different from exercise. ******************************************** You may also reach me at My website: http://www.youngyogawithsylvia.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/yogisylvia/ Facebook: http://bit.ly/36XLfEj Twitter: https://twitter.com/yogisylvia Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/sylvia0779/ ******************************************** Disclaimer Yoga provides great benefits, but only you know your own body and limits.
