How to Do Tongue Scraping | Yoga Lifestyle | Young Yoga with Sylvia

Today’s video is about Tongue Scraping. It’s an Ayurveda practice for body cleansing. Now that we are in this unusual situation, maybe think in another way, it can be a good opportunity for us to slow down and be more aware of self-care. Take this chance to learn or do something new that does good for our health and keep it as a good habit. Ayurveda is a sister branch of yoga, which also has 5000 years of history, focusing on the balance of the different elements of the body, mostly through clean, seasonal eating. However, Ayurveda is more than just balance through food. It’s also a balance through hygiene. It includes some unique practices, like tongue scraping that I introduce in the video. According to Ayurveda, digestion begins in the mouth, also, all diseases come through our mouth, so we do need to take good care of our access point. Benefits of tongue scraping 1. Removes residues and toxins on our tongue. 2. Betters your breath. Remove odor-causing buildups on your tongue. 3. Makes food tastes better. It improves your sense of taste. 4. Improves overall health. 5. Turns your tongue back to Pink-ish! Your tongue is supposed to be pinkish. The color of the tongue is a signal of our well-being. In medicine, buildup on the tongue can indicate a keratin imbalance. Stay safe & calm!
