Once I sprained my right wrist during my practice, It took me 2 months to heal. Those poses on hands were really beating me. Some modifications like cupcake hands or fists didn't really work for me. I found the best way to modify poses on hands is to just use forearms, wrist-free! If you have the same situation, you can still practice yoga asanas. Happy Mother’s Day! 💖💗💓 This Video is made especially for busy mamas, but not limited to mamas, it’s also for all caretakers and people who bend over a lot and carry, lift, dig, etc. Mamas spend your day lifting carrying twisting moving children and all the equipment that goes with them, strollers, package, blankets, everything you do to hold children in place. I remember when my 3 kids were much younger, carrying them on one hip and carrying a lot of equipment on the other and dragging a stroller behind me or pushing a stroller in front of me. How much back pain that caused me and how I always felt I was sort of at a slant one way or the other. I want to offer something to help relieve that and I know as a mom, we have very little time. But at least take advantage of Mother’s Day to practice some Ahimsa (Non-Harm) to yourself, your body. Give your body and your mind a break. I wish everyone has a restful Mother’s Day! This is a 70 min yoga asana practice for detoxing our body and mind. Twisting poses can help to squeeze the organs and will be the most beneficial to your detoxing practice. When we twist, our blood flow is going to the liver, gall bladder, stomach, spleen, and intestines. This allows fresh clean blood to enter your internal organs. Backbends like Bhujangasana cobra can strengthen your back but can also create a little pressure on the abdomen which will encourage digestion and aid elimination of waste. Yummy inversions(heart above your head) like Adho Mukha Svanasana down dog, drain lymph fluids from the legs and re-circulate through the body. This means the immune system will be working at its best. Let's hop on the mat and detox our inner bodies. (Practice starts at 3:03) I made this video for a specific group of people---Stay-at-Home Moms! A round of applause to all the SAHMs first! It’s a sequence of heart and chest opening to build up self-confidence and self-worth, ended up chanting “I’m bountiful, I’m blissful, I’m beautiful” for self-affirmation. It will be a nice and touching practice for those SAHMs who have self-doubt. SAHMs are a group of people who always giving, supporting, compromising and taking care of almost everything at home. However, how many of us do really receive enough gratitude and respect for our hard work? People don’t see the value of our work. People do not adequately “value the often invisible and unpaid labor that so many women do to enable their husbands to build wealth and find professional success.” If we don’t know how to adjust ourselves, we will be easily lost and get depressed. Some moms are even labeled as “Lazy”, “Stupid” because of this 24-hour endless caregiving job that made us unable to work. The caretaking that stay-at-home moms do should be valued as equal to the breadwinning of their husbands.  That’s the point. How can we survive this reality? Now that we can’t change how people see us, we need to build up our own confidence and never lose hope. We should feel proud that we are all great moms and even one day we return to work and finally makes our dreams come true, we still have to take care of our kids. We must affirm that we are incredibly strong. Even if we sometimes have self-doubt or feel anxious about our future, but trust me, the time and energy you are sacrificing for the family will be rewarded in the near future. Just don’t lose hope. Dare to dream, no matter small or big. We should be the ones who believe and support ourselves mentally. Yoga For Lymphatic System | Yoga Heals | Young Yoga with Sylvia

The lymphatic system plays a really important role in the immune functions of the body. It's the first line of defense against diseases. Imagine our lymphatic system is just like a highway that filters toxins and circulates antibodies in our bodies. There are three areas in our body where the most important lymph nodes are located. They are Cervical, Axillary, and Inguinal lymph nodes. In Yoga practice, we do pranayama (deep breathing) and asana (muscular contractions and stretches) which can really help stimulate the lymph flow. The lymphatic system is comprised of lymph nodes that contain disease-fighting immune cells as well as organs like the spleen and thymus that help fight off infections, which means if you keep your lymphatic system healthy, you will also get your immune system boosted.
