How to Be Positive in Life

Have you ever felt stuck in life? Have you ever felt the efforts you paid don't equal to the achievement you made? Have you ever been disappointed by the unfairness? I don't know you, but my answer is "YES". And I've been always looking for an answer to that "How to be positive in life". Of course, it's not easy!

Life is NOT Always "You Get What You Pay For".

I have to say the world we are living in is becoming more and more competitive. Since we were little, the competition has already got started, from the grades to the skills. Parents were the ones who were always pushing us forward and would never let us fall behind until we went to college. For me, I was always a good student at school and were supposed to be able to have a good career afterward, however, I chose to move to the United States after I graduated, which was a huge change in my life. This means I have to start over again. I got married, I gave birth to kids, I'm now a full-time mom of 3. My last 10 years were contributed to my family which was a big sacrifice, at least in my eyes now. I didn't get what I pay for. I paid so much time and effort for the family but I was not understood and appreciated. I was unhappy and stuck because whenever I wanted to pursue something, there would be always obstacles ahead, no time, no helper, nothing. Reality is the reality. I've been learning how to accept the truth and how to wait patiently for good timing. It's all because I'm a mom, yes, a proud mom still with dreams.

Being Positive is Actually Not As Easy As What You Think

When our friends are upset, we must have said the same words to them "Hey, be positive! You will be fine!" I just want to say, stop saying this to others again, because it's as easy as what we think. First, we are not them. We are not facing the problem that they are facing. We can never know how hard it is for them to just make a smile in front of people in order to show others that they are fine. It's not the way to cheer people up when they are really down. At least it doesn't work out for me unless I stay in a positive mind myself. I don't like to pretend that I'm fine. Like today, I failed in an audition. I did feel a bit down. I shared with my friend once I got the result. I don't like to hide my feelings, instead, I'm truthful to my feelings. This way I would feel more comfortable. If we temporarily stay out of positivity, just let it be. Ill-positivity will just make us lose who we really are. We are all humans and we have the right to be not positive. Life is so short, let go of emotions and be our true self.

Take Time to Adjust and Keep Moving Forward

Don't rush yourself to get over what you are experiencing. Take sufficient time to adjust your emotions, moods, and mindset. Time will heal and tell. No success will happen overnight, if there is, it must not be sustainable. We oftentimes feel stuck just because we want to see the results right away. We forget all the successes are based on a long-term commitment. We never know when the results will come until one day they are really there. Who will see those results? Of course, those people who never quit and can always adjust themselves back to positivity. I just want to say, yes, it's okay for us to struggle, to get stuck, non-the-less, learning how to be positive in life is a skill that we all need to master. Bear the loneliness when you strive for a goal, during that you might lose your time hanging out with friends. After a long run, you will appreciate yourself for not quitting. At least I believe "Gold will shine everywhere". Just keep moving forward!
