Ardha Chandrasana Half moon pose variation.
I’ve never made it by releasing my lower hand until today, even if just for a few seconds. I first tried it at my mentor Stacey‘s class 2 months ago. I was like “wow, it’s quiet a challenging balance!” But yoga teaches me how to accept the current self, whatever I am now. Yoga is a process. Maybe today you are unable to make it, though by deliberate consistent practice, you will be able to make it tomorrow, and that’s for sure! Yoga built up my confidence through finding out the possibilities of my body; yoga cultivated my patience through observing my body changing day by day. Yoga raised my consciousness of how to practice safely, not going beyond my limit. Yoga had me learn that the progress might be tiny or even barely to be seen, though for a long run, I can easily feel the benefits that yoga brings me.
Yoga gives us space to try, to fail, to fall, to pause, to even stop if you feel you are not ready, though thru which, it also strengthens our inner power. All of these are for a better start. If you practice yoga for a long time, you are not only building up a strong body but also a strong mind.
