Foundations of Asanas---Utthan Pristhasana/Lizard Pose

💟 How to do:



1. Start from Anjaneyasana/Low Lunge. Move front foot out toward the edge of the mat; Place both hands on the mat inside of front foot;


2. Lift back knee off the ground;


3. Bring forearms down to the ground;


4. Keep a long spine, continuously aiming the back inner thigh up toward the ceiling, and the chest forward through arms.


5. Hold this pose for 5-10 breaths.


💟Modifications:


1. Drop back knee down on the mat. If your knee feels sensitive, you may place a blanket under it;



2. Use 1 or 2 blocks. Either place your hands or forearms on the blocks. Back knee can be modified as 1.
